Marcos Senesi is edging closer to a move to Tottenham after positive talks this week. The 29-year-old is available on a free transfer after a four-season stay at Bournemouth and has been reviewing multiple offers since the season ended.

Interest from LaLiga and Serie A clubs has been reported, but Spurs appear to have won the race for the Argentina international, who has long been keen on remaining in the Premier League and moving to London. Senesi made 128 appearances for Bournemouth in all competitions, scoring six goals and contributing 10 assists.

Spurs are also hopeful of completing a deal for Andy Robertson following his departure from Liverpool on a free transfer this summer. The club attempted to sign the left-back during the January transfer window but he remained at Anfield. Despite late interest from Juventus, there is optimism a deal can be finalised before Robertson captains Scotland at the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Mathys Tel would ideally like to remain at Tottenham after playing a decisive role under head coach Roberto De Zerbi in securing the club’s Premier League survival. The 21-year-old’s priority is a stable environment where he feels the trust and confidence of the club.

In 18 months at Spurs, Tel has worked under four different head coaches while the club recorded consecutive 17th-place finishes. He was overlooked for the initial Champions League squad by Thomas Frank before being brought back in December to replace the injured Dominic Solanke, then removed again in January when Solanke returned to fitness.

Tel found his best form under De Zerbi, earning the manager’s trust with an influential performance off the bench at Wolves in late April. He won the corner that led to Joao Palhinha’s goal — Spurs’ first league win of 2026 — and went on to start the remaining four matches, contributing a goal and an assist that proved crucial in the club avoiding relegation.
