The UEFA world cup qualifiers are set to begin the first fixture next week. All teams have announced their squad for two matches in the qualifying round. La Furia roja’s boss, Luis Enrique, apparently has decided to call up several debutantes for the away game against Georgia on the 28th March before playing host to Kosovo on the 31st.

Those debutantes are Pedri (Barcelona), Pedro Porro (Sporting Lisbon), Robert Sanchez (Brighton) and Bryan Gil (Eibar). However, the former Barcelona boss excludes Chelsea’s second goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga. The former Athletic Bilbao man has not played enough minutes to prove his quality. His days in London have turned bleak after the League Cup incidents two seasons ago when Maurizio Sarri was still in charge followed by a series of unnecessary blunder under Frank Lampard last season which pushed him on the bench more often than he should be, considering his expensive transfer fees when he joined The Blues.

As Kepa’s replacement, Enrique named Brighton’s young goalie, Robert Sanchez, instead along with Bilbao’s Unai Simon and David de Gea despite their fairly inconsisten form. Yet, they are at least still the number one choice in their own club, whereas Robert Sanchez’s impressive form with the Seagulls does attract Luis Enrique although the former Rochdale and Forest Green player has just made his debut this season with 17 appearances in Brighton. Meanwhile, the inclusion of the other debutantes is not a surprise. They all, in fact, deserve it. Pedri, for example, has made 27 appearances with 19 of which as a starter. The versatile 18-year old midfilder has netted two goals and provided three assists for Barcelona in La Liga. Pedro Porro has been the intergral part of Sporting Lisbon’s triumph this season by leading the league table. The right back has featured in 22 games and contributed three goals and two assists so far. Last but not least, Eibar’s top performer, Bryan Gil, has registered three goals and two assists in 19 fixtures this season. Here is the list of complete names in Spain’s current squad.
