A number of World Cup favourites have scheduled the last friendly matches against Middle East sides a few days before Qatar 2022 kick off.

Middle East nations seem to be the popular choice for the opponents by several big teams to wrap up their final world cup preparation. The tournament's favorites who are bound to meet Arabian teams in their last warm-up games are Germany, Argentina, Spain, Serbia, Belgium, Mexico and Croatia.

Interestingly, only the runner-up in the previous edition, Vatreni, who will be facing off the qualified side, Saudi Arabia. They are set to meet in Riyadh on November, 16. The game would be a perfect one for the final warmup game as each would encounter the team with quite similar system of play or flair at the group stage. The Falcons under Herve Renard is taking on Poland on matchday two whereas Luka Modric and Co will face off the tough Arabian Africa team, Morocco.

Meanwhile, Die Mannschaft is set to play against Oman in Muscat. The match is  staged on November 16 at Sultan Qaboos Sport Complex Stadium. Hans Flick's men has been lacking of friendly match versus the non European side. It will be a warmup game to adapt with the Middle East climate. Argentina, on the other hand, has agreed to set up a warmup game against UAE. Lionel Scaloni's side will be travelling to Abu Dhabi for this match. It will be staged at Zayed Sport City Stadium.

In the meantime, Spain will encounter Jordan in Amman on November, 17. Luis Enrique's men are bound to share the location for world cup training camp in Qatar University campus with Albiceleste. Sergio Busquets and Co will use the female campus while Argentina is using the male one. Next, Serbia is planning to take on Bahrain in Riffa on November, 18. Filip Kostic and Co are looking for their form improvement after their current unsatisfactory Nations League campaign. Another European side, Belgium will be taking on Egypt for their last friendly fixture. It will be held in Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium, Kuwait City on November, 18. The Pharaoh is an ideal opposition side for De Rode Duivels to get ready before meeting Morocco at the preliminary round.

Last but not least, Mexico has set up one of their last warmup games versus Iraq. However, both are not going to square off in Baghdad or elsewhere in Middle East, but in Girona, Spain. Tata Martino's men start their training camp quite early at the beginning of November. They even have scheduled two friendly match there, against Iraq on the 9th and Sweden on the 16th.

Other big teams such as the reigning Champion, France and England, have not confirmed their warm-ups fixtures in November, whereas Portugal and Poland opt for the teams more well-suited to their needs. Seleccao das Quinas will be hosting Nigeria in Lisbon to prepare themselves against Ghana in their world cup opener while Orly is meeting Chile in Warsaw to get themselves ready for their toughest opposition at the group stage, Argentina. Both matches will be contested on November 17 and 16 respectively.
