Due to the conflict that started in Ukraine, the Ukrainian soccer league was stopped in February. Many hoped that the war would be over in a short time, but, as we know, this didn’t happen. Last Wednesday it was announced that the Ukrainian football league will not continue.
Although Shakhtar Donetsk was leading at the time, the Premiership committee said no official award would be given. However, qualification could determine passage to European competitions next season if Ukrainian clubs are deemed fit to play.
The country's two biggest teams, Shakhtar and Dynamo Kyiv are touring Europe to play various charity matches against clubs across the continent and raise funds for affected people.
