Premier League is still one of the busiest in the summer transfer window till the end. Apart from CR7’s return to the side which brought him to stardom, there were some other well-known names involved in the late deals. Atletico’s versatile man Saul Niguez, who had been rumoured to be apart of the switch plan for Griezmann and Barcelona, eventually moved to Stamford Bridge on loan. He is a great addition for Thomas Tuchel’s squad due to his versatility in the midfield role and even playing wide when necessary. The Blues only spent ₤5 million for his loan fee. Some other notable names in the late transfer in English top flight are Japanese centre back who was in form during the Olympic games, Takahiro Tomiyasu. He took the chance to join the Gunners who spent ₤18.60 million for signing him from Bologna, French and Welsh international Kurt Zouma and Daniel James who switched sides from Chelsea and Manchester United to West Ham and Leeds United respectively. In La Liga 2021/22, the departure of Leo Messi and Barcelona’s financial crisis seem to be giving a domino effect to the Catalan side. A number of big names were involved in the last minute deals. Antoine Griezmann’s return was quite a shock since he should have had a freer role in Koeman’s line up. Yet, perhaps the financial issue with the wage cut was the one which pushed him to the exit. Apparently, he was not the only one who had to leave Camp Nou. Emerson Royal and Miralem Pjanic were the next ones. They headed to Spurs and Besiktas. Some other big names who left La Liga are Saul Niguez and Alvaro Odriozola who left Madrid to Chelsea and Fiorentina. In return, La Liga surprisingly welcome new well-known names such as Eduard Camavinga, Radamel Falcao, Javier Pastore, and Shkodran Mustafi. The former Rennes youngster is one of the most high rated talents which has been the target of big teams since last season. The midfielder eventually opt for Los Blancos for his next destination to shine as well as develop his skill and mentality. Meanwhile, the other three names might no longer be at their peak but their experience could be something they can offer for better rivalry in the Spanish top flight which enters the new era without Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Here are some other notable late transfer.
