A number of frontmen have confirmed their move as the deadline of summer transfer window 2022/23 is near, including Edison Cavani, Andrea Belotti, Anwar El-Ghazi and Sasha Kaladjzic but not yet for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Several forwards have sealed their deal to switch side this season being released on free transfer. The most notable ones are Uruguay international Edison Cavani and Italian striker Andrea Belotti.

Cavani has confirmed his arrival to Valencia this season. The 35-year old forward has agreed to sign two-year contract with Gennaro Gatusso's men after his contract with Manchester United ended. This will be his new adventure as Suarez's duet in La Celeste has never played in Spain before. The prolific striker previously was the mainstay in Palermo and Napoli before moving to PSG in 2013. Cavani has been awarded the top scorer three times, once in Italian Serie A in 2013 and twice in Ligue 1 (2017 & 2018). He then moved to Manchester United and helped them to reach the final in Europa League 2021. He fell down the pecking order after the arrival of Christiano Ronaldo last season.

Meanwhile, Andrea Belotti apparently opted to move to AS Roma after rejecting the offer from Lazio and Valencia. The former Torino skipper has signed a three-year contract for Giallorossi and will be provide a competition for the Englishman, Tammy Abraham. Belotti has netted more than 100 goals for Il Torro. He is certainly a great addition for Jose Mourinho's squad. He only lacks of experience in the continental campaign.

The next two frontmen, Anwar El-Ghazi and Sasha Kaladjzic, have been linked to a move elsewhere since the second half of 2021/22 season.

The Dutch man, Anwar El-Ghazi has agreed to switch side to PSV Eindhoven for £2.5 million. El-Ghazi was playing in Ajax before signing for Lille in 2017. His best form was seen in 20/21 season when he managed to score 10 goals in Premier League for Aston Villa before being lonaed out to Everton last season. El-Ghazi is set to play as winger to cover the absence of PSV's youngster Noni Madueke, who suffers an injury.

In the meantime, Kaladjzic eventually is set to move to Wolverhampton. This summer. It is quite an unexpected news since the Austrian international had been previously linked to two Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. The 25-year old striker has reportedly agreed the €18 million transfer fee with Premier League side.

Last but not least, unlike the four frontmen above, Cristiano Ronaldo has yet confirmed his departure to either Napoli and Sporting Lisbon, the only two teams interested in signing the Portuguese megastar on loan. The Italian side is the last one to reject him as CR7 still demands his huge salary. Initially, Il Partenopei was expecting his current club, Manchester United to cover his wage while the forward is being sent on loan in San Paolo, but Red Devils turned out to refuse such proposal. What's worse, Ronaldo does not seem to keen on taking the wage cut to ease his move.

Meanwhile, Sporting Lisbon is still keeping tabs on signing the skipper of Seleccao das Quinas. They come up with the idea of offering him the stake of the club to fund his move. The 37-year old might as well consider it as Sporting seems to be the last resort, should he still have the ambition to play in UCL. With only less than 48 hours, he is obliged to make his decision immediately.
