The quarterfinals took place at the French Open tennis championship.
The first to leave Roland Garros was the fifth racket of the world Elina Svitolina. She sensationally lost to Nadia Podoroske from Argentina 2: 6 and 4: 6. Iga Schwetnek from Poland also dealt with Martina Trevisan in two sets. Petra Kvitova beat Laura Siegemund. But Sophia Kenin defeated her compatriot Collins. In the semifinals, Roland Garros Schwentek will face Podoroska, and Kenin will play a match with Kvitova.
The semi-finalists were also determined in the men’s ATP grid. They were Novak Djokovic, who will converge with Tsitsipas, as well as Rafael Nadal and Diego Schwarzman.
“I definitely didn’t feel great coming into the court today. Few things happened in the warmup. I had to deal with those physical issues coming onto the court. As the match went on, I felt better, didn’t feel as much pain. I had some neck issues and some shoulder issues. I’ll just say that. I mean, I don’t want to get really too much into it. Obviously I’m still in the tournament, so I don’t want to reveal too much”, Djokovic said.
The semi-finals will take place on October 9th. The final will be played on October 11.
