The rivalry in group B of this year’s Champions League turns out to be more interesting than expected. The result on matchday five last night brings all teams in the group to face the final battle on matchday six next week since they all still have fairly equal chance to snatch two tickets to the next round plus one secondary one to the Europa League.
Real Madrid shockingly slumped to a 0-2 defeat against Shakhtar Donestk. Despite being dominant throughout the game, they conceded through Detinho’s and Manor Solomon’s goal on the second half. Marco Asencio who had two decent opportunities at the first half, failed to convert them into goals as they hit the post and was denied by the youngster between the sticks, Anatoli Turbin. It was Zidane’s men’s second loss against the Ukrainian side this season.
